The Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas is super cool because instead of being filled with weird marble idols and stained glass depicting all sorts of depravity, it's set in a nice wooded area and filled with nothing but sunlight.
I surveyed the field at Battle of Carthage State Historic Site. The battle marks the only time a sitting U.S. State governor has led troops in the field, and then, against the Union to which his state belonged.
Toured the hand-hewn saddle-bag pioneer log house at Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site. Nathan was the youngest son of Daniel Boone and a captain in the 1st United States Regiment of Dragoons.
