Just a Lille Bit

I love you too, Paris.

Not enough to stick around, though. We immediately boarded a train to Lille, France, where the early basketball games were happening.

There was a Ladurée at the train station so I was forced to get involved.

The mascot of the 2024 Paris Olmpics Games is the Olympic Phryge. Apparently the hat was "traditionally worn by freed slaves in Phrygia, an ancient kingdom located in present-day Turkey."

As with most things, the symbol of freedom was used first in the American Revolution and then, when we were finished with it, in the French Revolution.

Ernie kept a watchful eye on this creature.

Also bought a sammie at Paul.

Lille was a nice little town.

I picked up the rental car.

I heard a lot about French butter being a big deal so I bought a lot of it on this trip.
