Portland Sips

The four of us drove down to Portland, Oregon for adventures. I wish I could say "it was not to collect 400 more stamps in our McMenamins passports" but I think we all know that was the case.

We drove down what looks to be interstate 6.

Ernie probably likes staying in Airbnbs more than any of us. There's a bunch of new things to break and new rooms to crawl around in.

Calculating all the messes he could make with the contents of these cabinets.

Portland has a good beer scene so I check out a liquor store to sample the goods. They were selling the elusive 40oz bottles of beer. Last month for my 40th birthday party I was looking everywhere for these but failed. I felt obligated to buy one despite its late appearance.

Some nerd Youtuber did a negative review of Galactic Starcruiser. The experience is obviously now dead so her criticisms are mostly moot but it was still interesting to see the hours long account of her time there and other peoples' reactions to it. I think since our voyage was the second to last it was full of insiders, so I did feel like of left out at times. It was nice to see that others had a similar experience. It also made me wonder if its ending, though tragic, spared it from getting worse in terms of insider entrenchment. When we were there it was obvious that many of the guests were somehow already best friends with the actors.
