Jammerless Jam

Today a long standing line on my adventure bucket list was crossed off. I got to see a Roller Derby match! And not just any old match, it was the double header Arch Rival Roller Girls 2014 Season Championship at Chaifetz Arena.

There were girls with awesome violent nicknames (such as Mayor Francis Slayer), and they were smashing each other. And along the way there was some sort of point scoring happening. It was classic.

I told Tom and he wasn't impressed. He said it used to be way better because there were ramps and railings that people would get smashed over. I hope that the place they normally play is still that awesome. They were only at the Chaifetz because it was the championship.
