Tonight we watched the Snowflake Lane Christmas parade from a different vantage point. I think it was through Forum Social House but they provide hot cocoa and you get to watch the festivities from their balcony. I thought it was a hit. One of the girls in Ernie's daycare class happened to be there too so that was fun for him to hang out with her a little.

Zoo then Mall
Wake up! It's time to go to the zoo!
Stick bugs are great: they combine the fun of both sticks and bugs.
There's a good indoor kid's area that's just about worth the price of the membership alone.
Who's the animal now?
Bellevue Square Mall often has these photo booth things set up that are delightfully bad at doing their job. I never pass up the opportunity.
The giant video wall thing that responds to movement, on the other hand, is peak.
There was a long line outside my ramen spot Kizuki for some reason today. Oh well.

Spooky Mall
Ernie counted up his money and decided it was time to go to the mall.
I feel like Bellevue Square was trying to build a mall but accidentally made one of the best playgrounds in town.
It was very festively decorated.
I've had MOTO Pizza a couple of times now... the first time was at the ballpark so even though I wasn't wild about it I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
It's just very weird and wet. It doesn't have the proper chemistry of a pizza. You can't just slather a bunch of wet stuff top of a pizza without it getting gross. I think this will be my last MOTO.
The big interactive tv thing they have in the center of the mall was popular today.

Beach Boy
Ern likes to touch the mannequin at Bellevue Square, I assume to make sure that they don't come to life.
With our big France trip completed I went back to my fancy flights kitchen to cook up something new.
I'm usually able to ignore the Royce' siren call at the mall but this time I went for it.
Some green pins appeared on our map signifying that some flights had officially been booked.
I like these fun soda flavors but they never have them in diet. Oh well.
Ern's Tennessee grandparents joined us for a Beach Boys concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle. Beach Boys' 1965 "Barbara Ann" was one of Ernie's earliest and favorite songs. He was already able to make the song's repetitive "ba ba ba" sound so it seemed like a natural choice to introduce him to.
We had a LOT of rocking to do before we'd ever get to "Barbara Ann", though.
We had a lot of fun singing and dancing and clapping the night away. There was a lot of wine too, which was nice.
We had to leave before the show was over but we were rocking all the way back to the car.
