St. Louis Blues Win the Stanley Cup

We went to watch game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals at our friend Emma's place. The Blues ended up beating the pants off the Boston Bruins 4-1 to win the Stanley Cup. I'm not the sportiest guy in the world but it was an exciting time. I did catch a preseason game this year, so I feel like that covers me from being a fairweather douchebag. We drove from Emma's place in Brentwood to downtown to experience some of the magic.

The game was in Boston but there were watch parties all over the place, and so there were still a ton of people downtown.

Mr. Gary, king of hospitality and host of Them Yo People, was in attendance.

Traffic was so congested that people were hanging out of their car windows and sunroofs. "Gloria" was blaring out of many of them. That song... that song will haunt my nightmares for a long time. I gave so many people high fives that my hand still hurt in the morning.

I wore my ratty, Goodwill Outlet Blues sweater to work the next morning to rub salt into the wounds of some dignitaries visiting from Boston.

Many trashes were talked. Many Bluesy donuts were served.
