One Last COMO Trip

Zoe's gradiating one of these years and so is moving back to St. Louis and so it was time for us to visit Columbia, Missouri for one last hurrah. Hurrah!

It was apparently take your mom to school day because there were moms all over the place taking part in activities of varying levels of shame at bars.

There was brunch.

I wonder if I'll ever step foot in Columbia, Missouri ever, ever again.

Crushing Some Beers in Columbia

We went to Columbia, MO for a little homecoming weekend. Zoe is pretty close to graduating so we are cherishing our remaining rages in the college town.

The preparty got a little out of hand. My sweet Marty McFly orange vest was not only hot but helped to deflect some flying beer.

There was a new video game bar in town that we had to check out: Silverball Bar.

The next day a few of us headed a bit west to Rocheport, MO. I heard something about an Oktoberfest and, 'tis the season.

Rocheport is on the Katy Trail and we ended up walking around in this really cool park.

I got kind of carried away with pictures of this tunnel.

Someone had laid a bunch of creepy rocks with faces painted on them all over the place.

A Classy Trip to Mizzou

By some large oversight I waited until Zoe was a junior to go visit her at the University of Missouri.

The first night we ended up at The Penguin Dueling Piano Bar. Things got so real that one of the guys broke out the keytar.

The next day a few more compatriots arrived and we started all over again. We classed up this Mexican restaurant real nice.

We walked quite a distance from Zoe's apartment to the Mizzou game. I don't recall why.

We had the sort of general admission tickets that let us sit on the lawn. Which is fine. But it turns out the lawn is at quite an angle, and our blankets were quite slippery. So most of the game was spent trying not slide down the hill in dramatic fashion.

Us hangin with Truman the Tiger.

I successfully taught Columbia how to college.
