Ernie's big day finally arrived: his very first birthday party.
I think these thin photos are from Zoe's real camera. Real cameras are great at taking photos but bad at knowing what time it is, so they are out of order and I am much too lazy to rearrange them all. You get the general idea, though.
We had a little game set up where you had to guess where Ernie was in each of the photos. He's been traveling!

Having the party at St. Joseph's church in Springfield was not initially my favorite idea but it ended up being kind of cool. It's where my grandparents went to church and where many family life events have taken place. A large reason that I wanted to have the party in Springfield in the first place was so that Ernie's extended family could attend and to build as much of a bridge there as possible so I guess what better place to do so than here?

Nana and Papa made the drive up from St. Louis which I thought was nice.

I think this highchair was a family heirloom and used to belong to Uncle Sam.

I checked on Ernie's inheritance: a The Real Ghostbusters Fire Station Headquarters.
I'd say that was a successful birthday. Good job getting older my lil guy!
