I didn't do much today in Nice, France, and that was by design. I was pretty beat from all of my Africa adventures, and honestly there wasn't much in Nice that was screaming to me to leave my hotel. I did take a stroll or two but for the most part this was a very low key day.
My room at the Hotel Solara had a nice sunny little balcony. It was a bit sad though, for one because it's pretty cold so I'd rather not be out here, and two because I'm now alone and it just seems like a nice place to share with someone.
I did get the room with swastikas drawn on the walls though, so that was pretty great.
I walked around a bit in Parc des Arènes de Cimiez and watched people play boules. Boules seems pretty pretty similar to bocce ball but with heavy looking metal balls.
I walked to the nearby Matisse Museum but it was near closing time so didn't seem to be worth the price of admission. Oh well.
The architecture around here was noteworthy. I don't have the words and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I really liked the big grand buildings with the little domes on top.
And that's about it for the day. I told you I didn't do anything! This stage of the trip seemed like a period of reacclimating to the developed world before I go home. Like when they make astronauts sit in quarantine a while so they don't bring any moon diseases back with them.
