Puking at the Ritz-Carlton Ft. Lauderdale

Due to a big difference in plane ticket prices we elected to stay a night in Ft. Lauderdale before continuing on to St. Louis. I had a few free Ritz-Carlton nights to burn so I figured it was a good opportunity to sleep in style.

We arrived at the Ritz at like 5 in the morning so it was really lucky that they had a room for us to check into immediately.

The room had an ocean view so we watched the sun rise before going to sleep.

I woke up deathly ill and did some vomiting in the hotel's fancy trash cans. It's always a mystery to me what makes me sick on these trips because I eat so many weird things and am in contact with so many people with exotic jungle illnesses.

It was good it happened today because we were already planning on doing nothing. If this had hit me on whitewater rafting day for example it would have really jacked things up. I thought it was cool that I could see the ocean from the bed. Getting up is for suckers.

Lydia waited until the next morning to get sick, which was a lot more inconvenient because we needed to move around and catch flights.

I checked out the pool before we left.

I guess some people actually live here?

I sport some pretty rockin' carry-on tags on my backpack.

The lady driving our Uber to the airport had some interesting reading material for her passengers.

Lydia loves being sick on planes. I don't know why. I reminisced about the time she threw up all over the wall in Rome's airport.

We had a layover in Atlanta so we went to visit what is among my favorite domestic airport lounges.

Lydia was still sick though. Sad.

Regardless of how you feel about Southwest you have to admit they have great napkins.
